What is the best diet for preventing heart disease? According to the American Heart Association, it’s one full of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, fish, poultry and vegetable oils. That reduces red and processed meats, refined carbohydrates, foods and beverages with added sugar, sodium and foods with trans fats.

One of the best diets to follow is the Mediterranean diet which is rich in whole fresh foods, along with exercising and communicating with family, friends and people every day, keeping your body and mind active and healthy.
