Let’s have a family poke bowl tonight. Here are the essentials of an amazing poke experience. A great poke bowl should look as good as it tastes. A real good mix of fresh ingredients, a balance of flavors, so make sure to include something crunchy, salty, sweet and sour! Choose your base wisely, this could include Jasmine rice, white rice, brown rice, quinoa, farro, noodles, zucchini noodles, mixed greens, couscous or cauliflower rice. Pick your protein. We are using Forever Oceans Kanpachi which has an amazing buttery taste, but you could use tuna, salmon, prawns or crab. For vegan or vegetarian options, try mushrooms, tofu, tempeh or chickpeas. Time for the dressing, either make your own or try, miso, sweet chili, spicy mayo, sriracha to lime juice. The list of toppings is endless, but you could try avocado, bean sprouts, mango, sweet onions, shiitake mushrooms, to shredded carrots or beets. Let your imagination run wide!

The main thing to remember is to use what you like and include foods that are fresh and nutritious that the whole family will enjoy.
