Chief Executive Officer

Bill Bien has over 25 years of experience serving as a leader for startups and market-leading enterprises in the ag-tech, clean-tech, and high-tech sectors. Most recently, he was the CEO of Signify’s Agricultural Lighting division, and before that as Signify’s Strategy Officer he led their reduction of GHG emissions to 100% carbon neutrality—winning recognition from the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and United Nations. When he’s not working, Bill enjoys hiking and outdoor adventure.

Guy’s love for sustainable aquaculture has spanned many years. He has held senior leadership roles with Pacifico Aquaculture, Regal Springs Tilapia and Harvest Select. He brings his industry experience in sales, processing and distribution to Forever Oceans™. Guy is passionate about solving the food insecurity problems the world faces and believes that sustainable aquaculture plays a big role in solving the problem. Guy and his wife Jill live in Daphne, Alabama. He is an avid fly fisherman and diver.

Jason Heckathorn

Founder & Chief Sustainability Officer

Jason Heckathorn founded the Mobile Fish Pens line of business at Lockheed Martin by adapting defense technologies to sustainable fish farming. He then led its spin out to create the Forever Oceans™ Corporation. Jason holds three Ivy League degrees, has been an adviser to the KAUST Entrepreneurship Program 
as well as Oceans X Labs, and has been 
a speaker at the Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture. He spends his personal time leading conservation trips and doing non-profit work through 
his church.

John Scharber

John Scharber

Chief Technology Officer

John Scharber is a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of experience showcasing exceptional leadership in software development, multimedia, and Internet technologies. With a keen ability to identify and secure valuable partnerships, negotiate significant contracts and M&A deals, and cultivate high-level business relationships, John has spearheaded the success of six early-stage startups, generating a cumulative value of over one billion dollars.

Christine Rowe

Christine Rowe

Vice-President of Human Resources

Christine Rowe has served in the HR organizations of leading global innovators, including Netflix, Google and Learning Tree International. Most recently, she served as vice president of human resources for COVID-19 testing and healthcare company, Curative. What sets Christine apart is her experience guiding the HR function through phases of rapid growth and her approach to HR as a results-oriented area of any business—where the goal is to retain and attract the best talent. Outside of work, Christine enjoys foreign travel with her family.

Brad Hudson

Brad Hudson, former CEO of East Coast Seafood Group and Afritex Ventures, led seafood companies globally. As a partner at Forum Capital Group, he focused on seafood, energy, and real estate. At East Coast Seafood, he directed strategy and product development. Hudson also served as 
a director at The Fishin’ Company and held roles at International Farming Corporation, BB&T, and Bank of America Securities. He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina 
at Chapel Hill and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina 
at Charlotte.

Luis Rodriguez

Director of Production

With over 19 years of leadership and operational experience, Luis is an expert in marine ecology and finfish physiology. He has worked with renowned institutions and aquaculture companies, covering various marine species. Luis aligns with Forever Oceans' commitment to sustainable aquaculture. Beyond work, he enjoys exploring nature with his daughter and runs a small kombucha business in Baja California, showcasing his diverse interests.
